Installments and a discount

It shows what you give up in discount to pay in instalments.

%

How it is calculated

Instalments here carry no interest. The shop price is simply divided by the number of months. Next to that, the cash price with its discount is shown.

Payment = price / months, cash = price × (1 − discount)

Where the numbers come from

  • Price
  • Months
  • Cash discount — unit in the field: %

Example

Goods of 10 000 currency units over 10 months mean a payment of 1 000 currency units. A 10% discount for paying cash brings the price to 9 000 currency units, a gap of 1 000 currency units.

Questions

Does the bank still charge interest?

Then it is a loan, not this instalment plan. The loan calculator works out that payment.

0% discount

Enter 0. The extra versus cash will be zero too.

Is there a down payment?

Subtract it from the price and enter the rest.
