Plaster use

The default use is 1,5 kg per m² for each millimeter.

How it is calculated

Gypsum mixes often use closer to 0,8–1,2 kg. Cement mixes use more. You can type the figure from the bag in place of 1,5.

kg = area × mm × rate × (1 + waste)

Where the numbers come from

  • Area — unit in the field: m²
  • Thickness — unit in the field: mm
  • Usage — unit in the field: kg/m²/mm
  • Waste — unit in the field: %

Example

10 m² in a 10 mm layer at a rate of 1,5 kg, with no waste, is 150 kg: 5 bags of 30 kg.

Questions

Does the thickness vary along the wall?

Calculate the sections separately, or use an average thickness.

Not a 30 kg bag?

Divide the kilograms by the weight of your own bag. As a guide, the screen divides by 30.

Primer and mesh?

They are not included in the mix mass.
