Order unit economics

Collects what remains from one selling price.

%
%

How it is calculated

The platform’s percent and the card fee are taken from the price. Logistics, the goods, and advertising are subtracted as currency units. Put tax and returns on one of those currency-unit lines if you want them counted.

Profit = price − fees − logistics − cost − ads

Where the numbers come from

  • Price
  • Platform fee — unit in the field: %
  • Card fee — unit in the field: %
  • Shipping
  • Cost
  • Ad cost per order

Example

A price of 1 000 currency units, a commission of 15%, a card fee of 2%, logistics of 100 currency units, a cost of 400 currency units, and ads of 50 currency units. Fees come to 170 currency units, and profit to 280 currency units.

Questions

Several pieces in one order?

Multiply the cost and, if you need to, the shipping. The price must be for the whole order as well.

Does the fee already include the platform VAT?

Enter the percent that is actually withheld. A buyer’s VAT is not shown on its own here.

Is a negative margin an error?

No. That happens when advertising and fees have used up the price. The figure is there so you can see it.
