How it is calculated
The formula does not allow for germination under 100%. If only 80% sprout, raise the rate yourself.
Pieces = round up(area × rate)
Where the numbers come from
- Area — unit in the field: m²
- Seeds per m² — unit in the field: pcs
Example
10 m² at 20 seeds per meter needs 200 seeds.
Questions
Ares into meters?
One are is 100 m². The area converter turns them.
Grams of seed?
The screen counts pieces. It does not know the mass of one seed.
In rows or scattered?
The rate per metre should already allow for that. The calculator only multiplies.
