How it is calculated
The limits are included. In unique mode a number that has already come up is not repeated. Sorting happens after the draw. It does not make the numbers “more random”. It only makes them easier to read.
Number = minimum + random share × (maximum − minimum)
Where the numbers come from
- Minimum
- Maximum
- How many numbers
- No repeats
- Sort
Example
One number from 1 to 100 is an ordinary draw. Five unique numbers from 1 to 36 are like a sample drawn without putting them back.
Questions
Can the bounds be fractional?
No. Integers are required. The minimum is not above the maximum.
How many numbers at once?
Up to 100. For a draw with no repeats, the range must not hold more than a million values.
Is this cryptography?
A password has its own generator. This one is a quick draw.
