How it is calculated
The formulas assume right angles. A leaning box is not calculated this way.
V = abc, S = 2(ab + ac + bc), d = √(a² + b² + c²)
Where the numbers come from
- Length
- Width
- Height
Example
Edges 2, 3, and 4. Volume 24, surface area 52, diagonal √29.
Questions
Does a cube work?
Yes, three equal edges. There is a separate cube calculator too.
The diagonal of a face, or the space diagonal?
The space diagonal, through the whole box.
Area of one face?
You can get it by multiplying two edges. The screen shows the sum of all six.
